     I grew up in Clarkston, Michigan. I graduated from Michigan State University and majored in Hospitality Business.  A job in the hospitality business brought me to Colorado.   I called Aspen my home for a couple of years.  As a sought after babysitter/nanny since I was 12 years old, I taught children to make recipes, create crafts,  play in and outdoor games and complete homework.  After working for the Aspen Babysitting Company and teaching ski school for the Aspen Ski Company,  I realized that I had natural ability to connect and work with children.

     I moved to Denver in May 2011 to pursue a Masters in Education.  During the 2011-12 school year, I was a paraprofessional in an ECE classroom. This year confirmed my career change to teaching and I enrolled in graduate school.

     I graduated from Metro State University with my Masters in Special Education May 2014. While going to graduate school, I worked at Bright Horizons, providing day care and early childhood education.  

     In the fall of 2014, I worked at Morey Middle School and taught 6th-grade math. In January 2015, I moved to Edwards, Colorado for a mid-year spring semester teaching position.   I taught Project Based Learning to 6th, 7th and 8th graders.  I also taught one hour of 6th-grade social studies.   In fall 2015 I moved back to Denver to be a Learning Specialist at Falcon Creek Middle School. I am excited to be at Rocky Top Middle school as a Learning Specialist!  I look forward to working you.
